The young Pyren had no idea what was going on in their kingdom...The kingdom they swore to protect, and the king they served.

They were on a mission, and by the time they were needed back, it was too late. They were out of range, and communications were since then blocked out by the enemy.

With their mission complete, they finally returned to their planet. But what they saw was least expected...

The machines that were used for mining were all melted and buried in the ground. Magma covered many pieces of armor, which they knew was the army they commanded.

But the worst sight...Was their king.

His body laid scattered across the volcanic remains of his castle, armor covered in deep scratches. His helmet and crown were both missing, and this was the one time one could see his real face...But not in its full glory.

Cri-Dra ran up to their king and picked him up, holding him gently with tears of lava dripping down their face.

My King...This can't be! What happened to you??

As if to reply, a low rumble from the volcano sounded, and Cri-Dra buried their face in the king's body.

I'll avenge you. they whispered, All of you. I'll make whomever did this pay!

It was from then on out Cri-Dra lived in the deepest depths of the volcano, living on its intense heat, before finally encountering the one who caused this destruction...

...Commander Xac.

Cri-Dra was the elite commander of Pyrech's army. They were 1 out of 4 of the Dragoons who served the king, and also the top soldier.

They took pride in their work, always fighting back foes and invading monsters, and also found the time to continue working on their battle tactics between sessions.

However, after finding that everyone in their kingdom was gone, they felt a rage that they'd never felt before. They began to lose themselves while spouting vile words about whomever was responsible, and swore to avenge their fallen comrades.

Taking refuge in the deepest section of the volcano - in which was used as a survival base - they began to work on even stronger moves, fueled by intense anger, and planned out ways to track and find who did this -- but didn't need to do either for long.

Someone came into the planet, and Cri-Dra could hear them talking. They heard about how the kingdom was still just a barren wasteland and the citizens wiped out, their magma bodies combined with the land and remaining lava.

When they felt them standing right beside the volcano's entrance, they took their chance and attempted a sneak attack, striking at a thin - yet - powerful machine with their spear.

The machine blocked the attack almost effortlessly, but was surprised someone survived. He then chuckled and muttered, "There's a survivor." before knocking Cri-Dra out and taking them into his world...A world filled with darkness.

Cri-Dra was still unconscious when they were hooked up to a device, had their memory scanned...And their ability in combat mostly wiped. Aside from basics like dodging, charging, and anything not involving weapons, they forgot everything...Including their weapon and Dragoon class.

They now have to train all over again, under the intense watch of Commander Xac, and alongside the elite soldiers of the Destructo Army...An army so brutal and powerful, one doesn't want to appear weak before them, lest they begin to mock them...Or worse.

Inside the barracks, a few soldiers mingled and talked to each other.

However, one stood further away, gazing down at one arm, of which seemed to be missing half of its armor.

This soldier...Was Cri-Dra, the same once-elite leader of the Pyren army.

But this time, they didn't seem proud...No. They seemed scared...Ashamed...Lost.

Encounters

Cri-Dra headed outside and further out, then held out one arm in front of themself. The armor had a slot that popped open, and they pressed a button before speaking into it. Their voice was loud and angry at some points, calm and soft at others. Clearly they had mixed feelings about this new life they had.

THIS STUPID GUY is why my kingdom is gone! He claims to have given the world a "new, better purpose", but I don't trust him. The world was fine before he and his stupid army took it from us!

Ugh...HIM. I can't stand him, and quite frankly I can tell he can't stand me. So why am I in his army? Because he didn't want any survivors to inform other planets what happened. Go figure. Yet...There's something about him...I can't help but admire...He reminds me of King Duran in a way.

Him? Honestly, he's not as bad as the others. I heard from the Commander that Destructo really hates fighting and actually surrendered the entire army to him just to not partake in any of their battles. I actually find that more couragous than marching into enemy territory...

He's...Very similar to the Commander, but so much kinder and more compassionate. He told me about how his past was completely different and the grief he gave the kingdom, and now how he wants to make up for everything he did. I admit, I like this side of him.

Due to my position, I've only learned about the two enemies that were destined to be brought down from databanks. "Were? Why is that?" you may ask. Reason is simply because both Xero and Destructo had enough of engaging against them every day. YET Xero couldn't resist engaging against MY KING?? UGH!

I've not heard much about him from anyone, not even the higher ups in the army. Is he a forgotten foe? Is he forbidden to speak of? I don't know. And it drives me insane to think I don't deserve to hear such intel.

Honor and Respect:

Cri-Dra has been honored by their comrades in Pyrech as not only a powerful warrior, but as a loyal follower of the king. While they are proud of their work, they can only take in so much praise before requesting it stop.

However, despite losing memories of their actual military strategies, they still remember those honors and who made them. Secretly, they want more praises, but this time, from the army with which they now work.

Databank

Not much has been recorded about Cri-Dra's past, but they still have bits of data in their banks. When they're not working with the army, they tend to record what's happened during their stay, as well as return to memories of their past as an attempt to remember anything.

Good, bad...Happy, sad...Even the darkest moments in their life...All of them are written here.

Leave

A loud yell fills the air, and Cri-Dra can hear it, despite their distance due to the surrounding silence.

Soldiers! Align at once!!

It was none other than Commander Xac, and he was eager to start the next task.

Cri-Dra knew he was very strict on timeliness and dashed from their place at lightning speed, then leaped so high into the air, one would think they were taking flight.

This was the life I've been given. I didn't choose it...But it chose me.

And for the sake of those I lost...I must take advantage of what I can.
